Here we go again with George Parker

Liz and George have joined forces again...

If you know the following individuals—Liz  Davis, George Parker, Erich Martel, Mary Collins, Maria Angala, Joyce Armoo, Jackie Hines—you might be having a flashback to yesteryear.  That is the election cycle when George Parker teamed up together with Elizabeth Davis for the WTU Presidency and General Vice Presidency.  These individuals were once big Parker supporters.  Now they find themselves on the side of Liz Davis.  The truth be told the only thing these people have in common is hate.  Nathan Saunders dispatched all of the above including George Parker (who now finds himself employed by Michelle Rhee!).  What teachers should know is they cannot get along with each other, either. 

Liz's big promise is jobs and economic opportunities to all (but really she just means all on her defunct management team- not teachers).  Mary could be back in the union office lickety-split serving as a special assistant to the president or field representative.  Erich Martel could use the union to continue to try and get back his job (don’t be fooled- he only cares about his own job, not DCPS teachers’ jobs).  Somewhere in the hundreds of grievances something has got to stick against the DCPS wall so he can get government money once again.    The word is Nathan took exception to Martel's grievance mongering and would not dance.  Ask Erich to share the real reason he was booted out of Wilson SHS.  It was not excessing but his unique classroom practices with black students.  (Oops, did someone say that?)  Hey, Erich… tell us how the administration proved you to be a threat to good educational practices? 

But wait a minute, Erich Martel was at Phelps and hated Principal Johnson.  Liz Davis was at Phelps and loved Principal Johnson yet they find themselves on the same side now.  The common bond is hate.  The big question is how are these people going to get something (anything) done for you?  They aren't.  Don't forget about Emily Washington another Principal back-patter previously from the Luke C. Moore school.  She was in the Washington Post talking about how she loved her Principal at least until she got the boot.  When was the last time Emily has taught school?  I heard she argues her new school is not "healthy" enough... OMG!  Does anyone remember when Emily was on the control board?  What a joke for teacher leadership!  She almost singlehandedly ruined us.  All of these ole union pimpettes, thugs, grievance mongers, and hustlers acting like they are going to fight something or somebody (besides each other).  They want to just get on one more time.  Please, Please, Please vote Nathan Saunders Slate because with these other fools we will be buying wigs, teacups, and fur coats a la Bullock all over again. 

Speaking of wigs, Liz needs to update her pic as the one she is selling teachers is not her.  Let's just say it was her 20 years ago.  I saw her without the wigs and it ain't pretty.

 

Maria Angala is currently seeking employment opportunities as well as her Jefferson School wagon is brokedown for sure.  She should be happy it lasted as long.  Ironically, it was Nathan who saved her butt.  Former Principal Mr. Ma gave her a nervous breakdown but for Nathan she would have been long gone.   

Liz lost in the preliminaries just not by enough.  Nathan Saunders did manage to get 60% of his slate elected in the preliminaries.  What teachers should concern themselves with is the workings of any leader with a split slate.  Don’t put you career in the hands of losing Liz, Play it safe and go with stable leadership and representation.  Vote the Nathan Saunders Slate.

They are now running with and supporting Liz Davis!  Even George Parker voted in this election.  Where has he been hiding all this time? He surfaced just in time to vote!

We are teachers, educators, trade unionists, friends and supporters of Nathan Saunders and his Slate.   We know he is a good man who has given tremendously but would never say the things we are about to tell you.  Once we talked and put our heads together, we were amazed how much information we had that others did not know.

He would never allow us to do what we are about to do but it needs to get done.  Many of us have a lot of experience in teaching and we are relieved the WTU is now going in the right direction in spite of all the outside challenges like charter schools, the contract, and IMPACT. 

We think he is the right man at the right time to lead us back to the forefront of the fight to improve teachers’ lives and students’ education.  We are moving into our own headquarters, more benefits are being paid to teachers and other leaders respect Nathan—even his opponents. 

Some negativity is being spread by people who are about to learn Nathan does not just help Teachers, Teachers help Nathan!

A very small group of Dissenters and Naysayers are trying to steal the most productive leadership the Washington Teachers’ Union has had in decades.  We are  going to "spill the tea" on some fake union activist, slickers, con artist teachers, tax cheat teachers, emotionally disturbed teachers, people of questionable conduct and lack of integrity, and people who you think they know something but really don't.   They are all supporting Elizabeth Davis Slate now. 

Oh yes, those who would not be seen publicly with Liz Davis are now supporting her!  She has been a drunk and losing elections since 1995.  Not one single win.  She has promised to hire back special friends like Mary Collins and Eric Martel.   She has also promised to hire back the George Parker lawyer who did not have a DC law license (required) and had been disbarred in his own home state. That lawyer had a special role in why you have mutual consent, job fairs, and IMPACT.  His name : Johnny Landon.   Is this who we want representing teachers?

We're gonna talk about Derrick Palmer, the guy who tricked Parker into signing a consultant agreement meanwhile stealing benefits and funds from WTU.  The Elizabeth Davis slate plans to bring him back, too.  Did you know Nathan fired him and pressed charges upon discovery of this theft and deceit? 

We're gonna talk about the time Elizabeth Davis was forcibly removed from the AFT convention while in a drunken stupor when she verbally assaulted the AFT President?  (Our sources are first-hand accounts by a delegates present.) 

All the "anti-Nathan Saunders” negativity can be traced to a few people who want jobs and benefits at the union office for themselves: they are not concerned with the level of service provided to the 4000 teachers.  From our blog, you will see the other side of the story.  They have sought to use social media to defame a good leader’s reputation.  For the most part, the individuals fall in one or more groups:

•  Lost a WTU job, consultant agreement, or financial opportunity when Nathan became President;
• Was not hired for a their "plush union office dream job" when Nathan became President;
• Lost a DCPS job and WTU did not get it back for them; and
• Lost an election...or two, or three, or ten!

The Naysayers and Dissenters have not gotten what they wanted from WTU and want Nathan gone because of it.   We think this is awful.

The Maria Angala File

Ever wondered why some of the worst teachers always preface their remarks about how great they are?  One NCBT (Nation Board Certified Teacher) swears she is a great teacher.  She is not.  She’s a George Parker holdover whose former Principal swore he would get her out of the classroom.  Maria Angala, the Philippine Princess, is going to be exposed.  We are going to get the check from WTU that Parker paid Angala as he walked out the door.  Your letters trying to strong arm money ($30,000.00) out of the WTU are about to be loaded and Nathan's letter which he refused to pay you for services you did not render.  Some of the "Anti-Nathan Saunders" folks were terminated by DCPS for good cause not because they were union activist, stood up for children, or any admirable purpose.  They are not a cross between Martin Luther King, Einstein, and Mother Teresa. Good cause could be not going to work, not providing services to students, stealing school equipment or supplies, and being kings of corporal punishment.  Nathan runs a tight union office and does not believe the union should help teachers who hurt children or hurt other good teachers.  They went to WTU for protection from their prior bad acts and did not find the welcome they wanted.  Nathan's change in operation has helped change the perception of WTU amongst insider players.  WTU is now viewed as a partner for positive change not a clandestine evil un-doer of school progress.
